Occupational physician in Berlin

When does my company in Berlin need an occupational physician?

Every company in Berlin needs occupational health care from its very first employee – regardless of the sector. Scope and deployment hours are governed by DGUV Vorschrift 2 (the accident prevention regulation on company doctors and safety specialists). BESTMED 360 provides this care for companies of every size, serving Berlin as company physicians since 1989.

How many occupational-physician deployment hours does DGUV Vorschrift 2 require?

Deployment hours depend on your company’s care group (I, II or III) and its number of employees. Our deployment-hours calculator works out the statutory basic care in seconds – or we calculate it together in your quote.

Does BESTMED 360 also serve companies in Brandenburg and the greater Berlin area?

Yes. From our practice on Kurfürstendamm we look after companies in every Berlin district as well as in neighbouring Brandenburg – on site at your company, at our practice or by video consultation.

What does an occupational physician in Berlin cost?

The cost depends on the statutory deployment hours, i.e. on your care group and number of employees. Flat rates therefore fall short. Request a non-binding quote – you will receive it within one working day.

Can we switch our occupational physician at short notice or arrange cover?

Yes. We take on occupational health care at short notice too – for example when switching providers or as cover. Get in touch; we usually clarify scope and start within a few days.

What does occupational medical care at BESTMED 360 include?

What is DGUV Vorschrift 2?

DGUV Vorschrift 2 (the German accident insurance regulation on occupational medical and safety support) is a uniform, identically worded requirement for the employers' liability insurance associations and public accident insurers that puts the German Occupational Safety Act (ASiG) into concrete terms. The regulation defines employers' obligations regarding company support by company physicians and occupational safety specialists. It distinguishes between basic support and company-specific support. Detailed information is provided by the DGUV at dguv.de.

Which preventive examinations are carried out by the occupational physicians?

Our occupational physicians carry out various preventive examinations in accordance with the German Ordinance on Occupational Medical Prevention (ArbMedVV): mandatory check-ups (Pflichtvorsorge), offered check-ups (Angebotsvorsorge) and requested check-ups (Wunschvorsorge). In addition, we offer comprehensive check-ups that go beyond the standard examinations.

How can occupational medical care contribute to the prevention of work-related illnesses?
